Who do you say I am?

By request, I'll do a study here on WHO Yahshua is, in relation to the entire Kingdom of Heaven. I will point out scriptures which, hopefully, will give you some semblance of the heirarchy to His World, and yes, there is an order to the Heavenly Kingdom.

Where to start? How about with our question...'Who do you say I am?'
Mat 16:13 Now when Yahshua came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Who do men say that the Son of man is?
Mat 16:14 And they said, Some say John the Baptist; some, Elijah: and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.
Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But who say ye that I am?
Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Messiah, the Son of the living God.
Mat 16:17 And Yahshua answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar–Jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

This shows that His disciples KNEW He was the SON of God. That was also the charge given against Him when He was taken to the Pharisees....

Mat 26:63 But Yahshua held his peace. And the high priest said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Messiah, the Son of God.
Mat 26:64 Yahshua saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Henceforth ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.
Mat 26:65 Then the high priest rent his garments, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy: what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard the blasphemy:
Mat 26:66 what think ye? They answered and said, He is worthy of death.

An interesting point to bring out...notice in verse 63 they ask 'Are you the Messiah, the Son of God?' They KNEW that the MESSIAH would be called THE SON OF GOD!Notice in ALL the testimony all references to Yahshua were as 'THE SON' and not GOD HIMSELF! Indeed, the voice from heaven said 'This is MY SON...'

Now, I want to counter point this with something. What was LUCIFER'S DOWNFALL? Let's look...

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O day star(Halel--KJV: Lucifer), son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst lay low the nations!
Isa 14:13 And thou saidst in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; and I will sit upon the mount of congregation, in the uttermost parts of the north:
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High.

This is why the NAME is very important. When you call the Messiah J-sus(Greek: Ie-sous), and when you say He is GOD the FATHER, you are actually putting Him where LUCIFER WANTS TO BE! Reference books(including Strongs)try to tie ie-sous with Yahshua, saying they are one and the same. THEY ARE NOT! Otherwise these scriptures CANNOT BE TRUE:

Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
That bears witness to this...
Exo 23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Exo 23:21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him. Exo 23:22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

Finally, to keep this short, count how many times Yahshua references HIS FATHER. It can be no other way. There is FAR FAR MORE to this, including why 'The Father is greater than I' and 'THe Father and I are one' is NOT a contradiction. But this could lead to pages and pages....

Why do you think the high priest was crying "blasphemy"? Curious, what do you think the word blsphemy means?

(corrected for typo) I could ask quite a few other questions regarding your post, but it will depend on what exactly you think Jesus did that would warrant the charge of blasphemy....

Just to make sure, I looked up Dictionary.com for a definition...
1. impious utterance or action concerning God or sacred things.
2. Judaism. a. an act of cursing or reviling God.
b. pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) in the original, now forbidden manner instead of using a substitute pronunciation such as Adonai.

3. Theology. the crime of assuming to oneself the rights or qualities of God.
These are things that Yahshua did, although He did not curse Yah, He blessed Him. He also used the Holy name repeatedly. He also claimed, rightfully so, to be the first-born of Yah, which is why they said He blasphemed. They did not understand it. Remember, the testimony says that Yah was GREATER than Him, yet, because Yahshua did the Father's(YHWH)will, He was ONE with Him. Just as we ALL can be one with Him, if we get our will out of the way. The testimony also says Yahshua did not consider it robbery to be EQUAL with YHWH, not ABOVE Him, as Lucifer wanted to be. If you read Zec. 3, you can see that Yahshua is given reign of the entire Kingdom. The signs that He did, healing, raising dead, etc. were the PROOF that He was who He said He was.

Some other verses to consider...

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ...The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. (John 1:1,14)

He [Jesus Christ] is the image of the invisible God. (Colossians 1:15)

In Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. (Colossians 2:9)

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being. (Hebrews 1:3)

Also...

Divine Messiah predicted in the Old Testament
Isaiah 7:14: “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”1

“Immanuel” literally means: “God with us.” See also Matthew 1:23; Jesus was “God with us.”

Not "Son of God with us" but God with us.

Isaiah 9:6: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

The Son is called Mighty God, Everlasting Father - I don't know how anyone could discount that.

Also, the fact that Jesus never testified of Himself, was because He came to His own, and His own received Him not...He told them that His works testified of who He is, He did not have to say it, all they had to do was recognize that by His works, He and His Father ARE ONE! He did not glorify Himself, but He will come in great glory, and those who recognize the truth that He is the Truth, will know that He and the Father are One.

One of the times the Jews got really angry with Jesus was when He healed someone by telling them their sins were forgiven. They got angry because only God has the power and the right to forgive sins. This was one of the many clues that Jesus gives that testify of the fact that He is God, Emmanuel, God with us, blessed be He.

Gee you forgot some others, like this one....
1Co 8:4 Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no God but one.
1Co 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth; as there are gods many, and lords many;
1Co 8:6 yet to us there is one God(Greek: THEOS), YHWH,the Father, of whom are all things, and we IN him(John 17:21); and one Lord(Greek: KURIOS), Yahshua Messiah
, through whom are all things, and we through him.
Notice even in the GREEK they use completely DIFFERENT words to describe the AUTHORITY that each have. The FATHER is in authority over EVERYTHING, Yahshua is given authority HERE. This then makes the prophecies true, including this...
Zec 3:3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
Zec 3:4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take the filthy garments from off him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with rich apparel.
Zec 3:5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments; and the angel of the LORD stood by.
Zec 3:6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
Zec 3:7 Thus saith YHWH TZAVA (LORD of hosts): If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou also shalt judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee a place of access among these that stand by.
The problem that people have that DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE KINGDOM OF YAH, is that they still hide behind a VEIL, they do not come out INTO THE FULL LIGHT OF TRUTH, which is no longer UNDER A VEIL, so they cannot see. This goes for ANY RELIGION IN THIS WORLD. I could go on and on, but I won't. I will leave you with 2 thoughts:
If you KNEW HIM, then you would have seen the sign of the son of man, and realized what it was, but you failed in Yahshua's THIRD COMMANDMENT, to WATCH!
Second thought:
Psa 2:11 Serve YHWH with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psa 2:12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Susan,
You are now a liar, but I forgive you for it. Let me point out what you said...
Quote:"the fact that Jesus never testified of Himself"
YAHSHUA DID TESTIFY OF HIMSELF...
Joh 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Messiah, tell us plainly.
Joh 10:25 Yahshua answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

THE WORKS WERE THE WITNESS TO WHAT HE SAID HIMSELF. And again...
Joh 10:34 Yahshua answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods
Joh 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the Scripture cannot be broken;
Joh 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Joh 10:37 If I do not the works of my Father(YHWH), believe me not.
Joh 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that YHWH is in me, and I in YHWH.

At this point, I'm thinking of doing a discussion board, but I really don't have time for it. You have the complete WORD in front of you(providing you do not REJECT the Old testament, if you do, then you CANNOT use the prophecies that spoke of Messiah. You cannot have it both ways. And remember, Paul said 'THE LAW IS GOOD'.
I'll do a link on the blog for the discussion board.

Joh 10:25 Yahshua answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

The passage in it's entirety:

Joh 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
Joh 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
Joh 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.

**************

Michael, Those who accept Jesus, accept Him as God, because, it is just as the Jews have it correct, ONLY GOD can forgive sins, and only those who truly have the eyes to see, and are truly His sheep, accept who He is, God. He did not have to tell them "I am God! Worship Me!" as an earthly fake would have to do, His works spoke of Who He is, and that is why the Jews got mad, because they saw it, but rejected it.

Susan,
You truly do not know Him, nor His teaching. But I will not continue this discussion here. If you wish, you may join the discussion group, and we will continue it there.

All that the Lord has given me to say to you, has already been said, so it's up to you....

I hope you will come to truly know Him as your Lord (God) and Saviour (which can only be God Himself)

Sincerely, In Jesus,

Susan
